The Story behind the Mobility Suite mos.

Mark Pralle, CEO of Fabrik19 AG, discusses the core product of his company, the Mobility Suite mos.

The technology behind the Mobility Suite mos. serves as the foundation for hundreds of apps already. If you could develop any app using the Mobility Suite mos., what would it be?

Mark: In reality, one could build all sorts of apps. Personally, I don’t have a specific app in mind but am more excited about how others will utilize the Mobility Suite mos. It’s always fascinating to see what emerges, and I look forward to the diversity of possibilities!

How does the Mobility Suite mos. work, and what sets it apart from traditional app builders and conventional app development?

Mark: To explain the technology, I often like to use the analogy of building blocks: On the one hand, you can construct modules yourself – essentially large building block structures – or create almost anything with small building blocks. Simultaneously, there’s the option to leverage existing building blocks at any time. However, the functionality differs significantly from conventional app builders, which are often designed for specific purposes and come with limitations.

With the Mobility Suite mos., theoretically, the development of nearly any application from the ground up is possible, making this technology stand out. At the same time, you don’t have to start from scratch every time, for example, to transform a crane into a ship or car, sticking to the building block analogy. Technically, it is a ‘native app as a service.’ The idea is that one can create fully functional native applications without needing expertise in the complexity of app development.

Is the Mobility Suite mos. also designed for use by third parties?

Mark: Although we initially primarily used the technology for client projects, it is actually intended for others to use. The Mobility Suite mos. can simplify app development for everyone. Thanks to our low-code approach, even customers without programming knowledge can actively participate in app development.

What plans are in place for the premium software Mobility Suite mos. in the near future?

Mark: Currently, we have around two million installations on end devices. While this is already a substantial number, there is still room for growth. However, it will never be a ‘finished’ product. We will continually work on the software because the Mobility Suite mos. aims to support our customers in the mobile application field in the long term. We aspire to be a technology partner, visionary, and guide for them.
